What is up CFDM members?!?!

If you hadn’t noticed, Halloween is right around the corner. It is on the 31st. CrossFit Des Moines is planning on putting together a social event involving costumes! Our initial thought is Friday evening (10.24.14) would be a prime time to throw on some costumes and simultaneously work on increasing our work capacity. What do you all think of this?

Dr. Joe O’Tool’s Saturday Seminar

Hey Members,

Don’t forget that Saturday (9.20.14) Dr. Joe O’Tool will be putting on a seminar at the Urbandale location (10619 Aurora Avenue, Urbandale, IA 50322). The topic is “10 ways to use your life to prepare for CrossFit.” You will leave with 10 practical tips to help you prepare for your workout daily. Knowledge is power, so go to this seminar and become more powerful!

Attention Members!

Tomorrow (Saturday 6/14) there will be no 8 or 9 am classes due to the Push-ups for Charity event! That event begins at 8:40 am. Please come out and contribute some push-ups for our nation’s veterans!

Please remember that this Saturday CrossFit Des Moines is hosting a Push-ups for Charity event. Here is the link to contribute financially:

If that is not an option we would still like for you to come and be a part of the CrossFit Des Moines team. The goal is to perform 12,000 push-ups in a two hour window so we will need lots of people power! The schedule is as follows:

Timeline:
8:30-9:00 Registration/ Sign in (preferably outside -weather permitting)
9:00-9:30 Opening Ceremony (Overview of charity and guest speakers)
9:30-11:00 90 second heats of push ups (90 seconds on 90 seconds off. each team will go and we will have counters and someone adding up push ups on a display board- this will last however long it takes to reach our goal!)
11:00-11:30 Closing Ceremony (awards for most push ups, team with the most donations, etc.)

Please share this with and invite any family or friends that are able to attend. Help CrossFit Des Moines, CrossFit Waukee, North Ankeny Crossfit ,Bank Rakyat loan and other Des Moines are businesses show that we greatly appreciate and support our nation’s veterans.
